Wnstn privacy policy
How Wnstn handles searches, saved history, iCloud sync and support enquiries.

Who we are
Wnstn is provided by SeeMango LTD. We are responsible for personal information we receive through support enquiries. Contact ramish@seemango.com about this policy or your privacy rights. This policy covers the Wnstn iPhone app; the SeeMango website has separate privacy and cookie information.
Information stored on your device
Wnstn stores your search engine, theme, appearance, suggestion and history preferences, shopping region, custom tags, enabled destinations and recently used destinations on your device. If you enable Save recent searches, it also stores submitted queries and their dates. App and widget settings are shared through Apple's app storage. Device backups may include app data depending on your Apple settings.
Searches and destinations
When you submit a search, Wnstn passes the query to your chosen search engine, app destination or custom search website. The receiving service and browser may process the query, IP address, device information and account or cookie information under their own policies. Wnstn does not operate a search server that receives these queries. Do not include information you do not want the receiving service to process.
Suggestions while you type
When Search suggestions is enabled, the search text is sent directly to the selected search engine to request suggestions, including when you are searching an app destination. The provider receives your query text and network information such as your IP address. Wnstn uses a temporary network session without persistent cookies or a disk cache for these requests, and temporarily keeps suggestions in memory. Turn off Search suggestions in Settings to stop these requests. The provider's own retention policy still applies.
Optional search history and retention
Saved search queries and dates are used to show recent searches and searchable history. You can select one month, one year or indefinite retention. Wnstn removes expired records when it checks the retention setting; it is not a guaranteed deletion at an exact time. You can delete individual searches or clear history. Turning off Save recent searches clears saved queries and stops saving new ones. Recently used destination choices are stored separately. Clearing Wnstn history does not delete records held by your browser or a search provider.
Optional iCloud sync
If you enable Sync with iCloud, Wnstn synchronises supported preferences, custom tags and saved history using Apple's iCloud services and your Apple Account. History uses a private CloudKit database. SeeMango does not receive access to your private iCloud history through Wnstn. Apple processes iCloud data under its terms and privacy policy. Turning sync off stops Wnstn syncing; it does not by itself erase existing iCloud copies. To remove synced history, clear it while sync is enabled and allow your devices to synchronise. Apple's backup and retention behaviour may still apply.
Accounts, advertising and device features
The current app does not require a Wnstn account and includes no advertising or third-party analytics SDK. Wnstn does not request device-location access for searches such as 'near me'; the receiving service may request it separately. Siri and Shortcuts use Apple's system features and privacy controls. Opening an external service does not give Wnstn access to your account at that service.
Support enquiries
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to answer your question and resolve problems, based on our legitimate interest in supporting the app. Our email service provider processes messages on our behalf. We retain support enquiries for 12 months after resolution, then delete them unless specific records must be retained to meet legal obligations. Please avoid sending sensitive search queries or unnecessary personal information.
Your choices and rights
You can disable suggestions, stop saving queries, clear history and change iCloud settings in the app. Delete custom tags you no longer need. Deleting the app removes local app data subject to Apple's backup and shared-storage behaviour, and may not remove iCloud copies. For information we hold in support correspondence, you can request access, correction or deletion, or object to processing or request restriction where applicable. Contact ramish@seemango.com. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or your local data protection authority.
Other services and international processing
Apple, search engines and destination websites process information under their own privacy policies and may process it outside your country. Check their policies before sending personal information. SeeMango's support providers may also process messages internationally; applicable data protection safeguards are required where relevant.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when Wnstn's data practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. The privacy information submitted to the App Store must reflect the version of the app being released.
